FotorCreatedIf your unsure of what to get someone for Christmas then you cant go wrong with a lovely hamper of treats. Spicers of Hythe offer a wide variety of hampers to suit any budget and any taste. They have over 80 years experience in the Fine Food Market and their customers love the gourmet food & fine wines that make the hampers perfect. Every year they deliver over 75’000 hampers to both home and office addresses.

I had the tough job of selecting a hamper to be included in my gift guide and with so much choice it wasn’t an easy! I’m not a big drinker so I ruled out the ones that included wine and I decided on the Christmas Star Gift Basket rrp £27.53 including postage, as it contained some lovely items that I knew my whole family would enjoy.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESReward your sweet tooth with Sally Williams Almond Nougat, Nevis Iced Fruit Cake Fingers or Eternal Grocer Mixed Fruit & Spice Biscuits all carefully packed into an elegant red woven basket. Perfect for sharing with family and friends!

It sounded fab by the description  and it didn’t disappoint when it arrived at my home even the children were desperate to get into it and dig in. Take a look at my YouTube clip of unboxing.

The goodies come in a lovely reusable red canvas box with a removable lid, I am definitely going to be using the box to store my make up in when we have tested out the contents.

PicMonkey CollageThe first 2 items are from the Eternal Grocer, the spiced fruit biscuits 100g come in a resealable tube, but I don’t see them being resealed to be honest, they are a lovely crunchy biscuit, ideal for a nice cup of tea or even a glass of mulled wine. The luxury chocolate nuts and raisins have a good coating of chocolate on them and seem to be evenly split. I remember getting a bag off another brand last year and they were nearly all raisins :( The children loved these also and it was a cheeky way to get some fruit in them, even if they were covered in chocolate ;)

PicMonkey Collage1Next up was some beautiful Radfords handmade vanilla fudge, you can smell the vanilla as soon as you open the bag. This made me think that the taste would be over powering but it wasn’t, it was just right. I’m saving the Sally Williams honey nougat for my Mum on Sunday, I’m not a big fan of nougat but I know she LOVES it.

PicMonkey Collage2These last 3 items were definitely my favourite in the whole hamper! The Cocoabean Company mint chocolates are amazing, you get 3 milk, 3 dark and 3 white chocolate pieces. They have just the right amount of mint in them and the chocolate is so rich and it has a lovely crunch to it! The Nevis Iced Fruit Cake Fingers were a lovely surprise, from the look of them they look like little fruit cake slices. But they’re actually sponge fruit cakes, which are so moist with just the right amount of marzipan and icing on. The final item I was delighted to see, I love a good seeded jam and in my local supermarket they all seem to be seedless, this Thursday Cottage Raspberry Jam was right up my street.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESThe whole family enjoyed the hamper and it was nice to see a hamper that is suitable for the whole family, with something to suit everyone’s tastes. This is just one of many hampers available. Whether you want it delivering to your home, office or as even a gift Spicers have it sorted. You can see this and all the other hampers via the link above.
