logoThe Basket Company are passionate about providing an extensive range of beautiful wicker baskets for your home, garden or business. The beautiful range of basketware comes in a wide range of shapes, colours, sizes and materials including willow, seagrass, rattan, water hyacinth and soft rush.

The Christmas Eve hamper has become a bit of a tradition in our , although its usually displayed in a cardboard box wrapped in Christmas paper. This year though its going to be a proper hamper! The Basket Company have sent me one of their fabulous Make Your Own Hamper Kit’s for review.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESThis kit is ideal for any hampers you are planning to send this Christmas and is competitively priced at £15.00 and contains everything you need to make a beautifully presented basket. The kit comprises of a wicker hamper basket, wool for the bottom of the basket to present your gifts on, a heat shrink bag, and ivory bow and a gift tag. The thing I love most about this kit is the heat shrink bag, once you have your contents arrange pop it in the bag secire your ribbin and

The basket is a good size at 40x30x11cm and it would be excellent for if you are planning on a food hamper as the double steamed willow basket would withstand some weight in it. As I said above I am going to be using it as a Christmas Eve Hamper and apart from thr shirnk wrap bag I am going to be able to use it again and again. So the price tag is even more attractive when you think of the re use potential. I am still buying items to go in the basket but here is a list of usual items.

  • Christmas Eve Pyjamas
  • Slipper Socks
  • Chocolate Coins
  • Popcorn
  • New DVD
  • Christmas Book/ Colouring Book

I get all my basket pieces from the Poundshops and they offer some great items that are perfect. The contents only used to cost me less than £10 but now I have 4 children it costs more. But it is a tradition we started so we have to carry it on! I’m still in the process of getting the bits and pieces for the basket so am going to do a separate post and video with all the details of what’s inside. But I wanted to get the details of the basket up now so you can all rush to buy one before you start your basket prep! The Basket Company have even created a YouTube Video showing you how to create your basket using the fab shrink wrap bag.

Make sure you stay tuned for my Christmas Hamper post soon, and in the mean time you can check out The Basket Company on their Website, Facebook and Twitter.
