We were sent the Planes Safe n Sound Lumiglow wall sticker for review from Worlds Apart, which is pretty perfect as we are having real trouble getting Cody to stay in his own bed! The kit comes with a night light and 50 individual wall stickers to create your design, there is a guide to how to set the kit out on the way in shows on the box or you can design your own set up like we did.
Inside the box is the night light complete with Velcro stickers and a sheet of vinyl stickers, the centre piece is where the night light sticks to and you can just pop all the other stickers around it. Before you begin to place the stickers make sure the surface is dust and dirt free to enable smooth sticking, it states in the pack that a smooth wall is best. Our wallpaper is slightly textured and the stickers stuck no problem. The vinyl is really good quality and peeled of easily and without damaging the paint work, so you can peel off and re apply till you get your design just right.
The night light does require 2 AA batteries (not included), I was dubious as to whether the 2 little pieces of Velcro would hold the light up, but I was pleasantly surprised that it did. We had fun making our layout and then placed the light on to complete the set up and it looked fab, perfect for next to Codys bed.
The light is really quite bright and ideal for when Cody wakes up in the night, to operate the light you just clap our hands, this is a great feature. Unfortunately Cody couldn’t operate the light, I don’t think his clap was loud enough, but he just gave it a little nudge and it comes on. He was really chuffed with it and he loves the Planes Movie, its his current favourite! Once the light is on it stays on for 2 minutes before automatically switching off.
We have had the light for just over a week now and Cody has slept in his bed about 80% of the time, which is a massive improvement as he was getting in our bed every night! If your little one isn’t a fan of Planes there is also Disney Princess, Cars, Minnie Mouse, Thomas and Hello Kitty in the range all priced at £19.99. I think its a fab price for a product that is keeping my little in bed and offering some reassurance when he wakes in the night.
