20141124_130558Its just not Christmas without a cracker is it! This year Wilko have crackers well and truly covered and have sent me 3 types of their Christmas crackers to try out this year! Obviously I’m not going to pull all of them before Christmas as that would spoil all of the fun! But here is a run down of what to expect from them ans what’s inside them :)

PicMonkey CollageThe first box are the Wilko Humbug Crackers priced at just £5 for a pack of 12, they are traditional handmade crackers ideal for the family Christmas Dinner! They are 1o0% recyclable which I love as it means I can pop it all in the bin when the fun is over. Its a nice sturdy cardboard they’re made from and they are lovely bright colours, there is even decorative ribbon to match the colours. An important part for us is the pop when you pull, having children with sensory issues means laud and unexpected noises upset them, these aren’t too load and I’m sure they would pass the Christmas Dinner Table test. Inside the cracker you the obligatory Christmas hat, a novelty prize and a the usual cracker joke. What I really like though is you don’t just get a joke you also get a gun fact question and a charade! Perfect post dinner entertainment. I think these are good value for money at only about 40p per cracker.

PicMonkey Collage2The second set are most definitely my favourite for entertainment value and they’re ideal if you have lots of children coming around this Christmas. The Balloon Modelling Crackers are priced at £10 for a box of 6, so slightly more expensive. But they are just great, they are lovely Christmassy colours and contain a fab prize inside! There is inside each cracker, a hat of course, a joke and 2 balloons for you to make some great balloon models, the box has a pump in to. We had great fun trying to make a dog! We weren’t that impressed with our effort but there is 2 balloons in each cracker so plenty of opportunity to practice!

PicMonkey Collage4The final set are ideal if you have little ones coming over this Christmas Time as they will help keep them entertained! The Kids Finger Puppet Crackers are a pack of 6 for jsut £4. Inside each cracker you get a hat, a little hat too so no children with droppy hats on their heads, a joke and a little cardboard finger puppet. The box even turns into a little finger puppet theartre. So a fab price for some fun for the little ones.

PicMonkey Collage1Make sure you keep your eyes out as I have lots more Wilko products coming up in our Gift Guides
