PicMonkey Collage1Myself and the children love to do fun activities and now that autumn has come around we were looking forward to getting busy with some autumn based projects. Gizoo sent us a Fat Bird DIY Kit that retails for £4.99 for the children to have a go at making. The kit contains a funky holder for use when setting the mixture in the fridge, string and seeds all you have to add is your own used cooking fat.

PicMonkey CollageIts really simple to make your fat feeder, inside the silicone mould is a plastic container and you pour the used fat into this. All you have to do then is add the string which enables you to hang it up and our in the seed. Once you have done this pop your mould into the fridge and leave it over night.

PicMonkey Collage3]Overnight the fat solidifies and seals in the bird seed inside. Once its set you can take it out of the mould and slide it out of the inner plastic mould. The string will be nicely sealed inside and enable you to hang the feeder outside for the birds to enjoy.

PicMonkey Collage4We are going to hang it up in the garden over the weekend and use our RSPB bird book and see what birds we can identify that visit our garden. Gizoo do a whole host of gadgets and gizmos suitable for all ages so make sure you pop on over and take a look, there are some fab Christmas stocking fillers ideas!
