We took delivery of a fab Secret Spy Workshop a few weeks ago and the boys have been wowing me with their tricks ever since it’s arrival. The kit comes from Wild Science and retails for £12.99. The kit comes with everything you need to make some super spy toys perfect for any upcoming spy!
The boys decided the first thing that they would like to make was the super spy snooper, which was really easy to make, all they had to do was fold the creases and add the mirror patches at either end. This then enables you to peep around corners or over the sofa, the boys thought it was great spying on each other with the spy scope. They have been getting into all kinds of mischief using it, including trying to spy round the kitchen door to steal treats!
The next part of the kit was the Anamorphic spy code which is a great way to hide plans from enemy views. It use maths and a chart to plan your secret messages, you just use one of the included pieces of tracing paper included. This was a bit complicated for the boys to work out but in easy terms you draw a picture in the square grid and then copy the coordinating dots using the tracing paper. Giving you a cool encoded image
The final piece of spy kit was the magic cube, there is a choice of option of how to play you can add the shell scene and make it a hidden jewel cub, add the holographic scene to make it a magic coin eater or add your own scene which is included for the children to colour in themselves. The boys loved the holographic options and had loads of fun showing the adults how the box magically made their coin vanish! They still need to work on their technique as they keep showing how they get the coin out and then everyone know how the trick is performed
I would definitely recommend the set for any would be magicians or spy extraordinaire, all my boys loved it. It is just one in a huge range of sets available in the Wild Science collection. Make sure you check out the link above and take a look at all the others.
