Having 4 cupboard raiders children means we there is always someone searching for a snack and I like to have a wide selection readily available for hungry tummies. Yu sent me a selection of their new snacks for the children to try out and believe me they didn’t last long!
Perfect for kids and adults alike, Yu!’s revamped range of guilt-free treats will now include mini, star and heart-shaped 100% Fruit Chews – tasty morsels of dried fruit which look and taste just like sweets, but contain absolutely no added sugar, are high in fibre and make up one of your five-a-day. Suitable for vegans, vegetarians and those with intolerances to lactose, wheat and gluten, these fabulously fruity creations are set to become firm favourites with all of the family.
The last time we tried some Yu my children loved the yogurt covered ones best so we decided to try those ones first. They are available in 4 flavours mango, apple, raisin and strawberry and are priced at £2 per pack of 5. They’re made with real fruit pieces and covered in a light yogurt, we got 3 flavours to try apple, mango and strawberry. What we liked is that they are thick with yogurt and you can really taste the fruit through the yogurt, we all loved the strawberry flavour ones the best, although I did like the tang in the mango bites 
The miniature heart shaped pieces also went down a treat, they actually taste like little pieces of jelly when you eat them. They’re just 100% pieces of fruit, they have no added sugar, high in fibre, fat free, suitable for vegetarians and those with lactose, wheat or glucose intolerances. They are even 1 of your 5 a day! The same as the yogurt bites they come in packs of 5 priced at £2. I would definitely recommend these for healthy snacks, lunch box items or as Rebecca from Mum of a Premature Baby suggested they would be great for healthy Christmas stocking fillers.
